These items represent initial stock. Other items such as poster board, tri-boards, notebook paper and composition books will be added. Additional spirit wear in a variety of colors will be available, too. Proceeds from the store will go to PTA. Cash or checks made payable to "Midland Academy PTA" are accepted.
Volunteers to work at the school store are welcome and needed!

Shopping for school clothes?
Keep the Midland Academy Dress Code in mind:
Student dress at Midland Academy is expected to reflect self-pride
and pride in our school. The staff at Midland Academy believes it
is in the best interest of the students and the instructional program
if we set some guidelines for the students.
It is the responsibility of the student and parent to ensure that the dress
code is observed. It is the responsibility of the teachers and administrators
to ensure that the dress code is enforced.
Midland Academy has aligned the dress code policy to adhere to district policy for
for students in grades 6-12.
Shirts
• Academy dress in grades PK – 5 calls for collared shirts or crew neck shirts
• (solid, patterns or designs)
• All shirts must be tucked in unless the shirt has a decorative hem or a fitted bottom.
• No undergarments are to be worn as outer garments.
• No midriffs should be exposed. Shirts must cover the midriff when the arms are raised.
• No see-through shirts or blouses will be permitted.
• No tank tops, spaghetti straps, tube-tops, fishnet shirts or athletic jerseys are allowed.
• Nothing that advocates drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, gangs, hate or profanity will be tolerated.
Pants
• Pants are to be worn on or above the waist.
• If pants can be worn properly on or above the waist, no belt is required.
• Sweat pants, wind pants, pants with holes or frayed legs, or sportswear of any nature are not to be worn.
Shoes
• Athletic shoes are preferred and are REQUIRED for all physical activity.
• Shoes must have a closed heel or heel strap.
• Shoes with open heels, cleats, rubber flip-flops or “shower shoes” are not acceptable.
Dresses, Skirts, Skorts, and Shorts
• Dresses, skirts, skorts, and shorts must be at the finger tips or below when arms are held straight down.
Hats
• Hats, gloves and caps may not be worn in the building.
• Stockings, doo-rags, sweatbands and bandanas are not permitted.
Jewelry
• No jewelry with reference to gangs, drugs, hate, violence or sex is allowed.
• Items such as hoop-earrings, chains on a belt, wallet, etc. and items with spikes are not permitted.
ALL CLOTHING MUST FIT PROPERLY. NO OVERSIZED CLOTHING IS ALLOWED.
If a student is not dressed appropriately, parents will be sent a written notice. If the problem continues, parents will be called to bring appropriate clothing or to pick the child up from school. Students will be held in the office until the parent arrives.
ANY PARENT IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE WITH CLOTHING SHOULD CONTACT A TEACHER, MR. SCOTT, OR MR. WILSON FOR A REFERRAL TO THE CLOTHING BANK.
**There will be regularly scheduled days for students to wear school spirit wear or school colors.
